| Ceramic Structured Packing | Ceramic structured packing consists of many tiny packing units with
the same shape, ceramic ripple flakes, which are composed
vertically parallel to each other. Its external shape is often in
cylinder unit or cube unit. Ceramic structured packing is also called Kelapak Packing. Due to its high separation efficiency several times, even dozen
times over random packing, it’s also called High Efficiency Packing. Because of unique ceramic structure and excellent hydrophile
performance, a paper-thin film of liquid can be formed on its
surface. It can force fluids to take complicated paths through the column,
thereby creating a large surface area for contact between different
phases. With the characters of high mechanical strength, high chemical
stability, and long use life, Ceramic Structured Packing can resist high temperature, acid (except HF), alkali, salt and
various organic solvents. It's widely applied in various packing towers of desiccation,
absorption, cooling, washing, and regeneration in industries of
petrochemical and chemical. If any enquiry on chemical packing, please feel free to contact us

| Advantage Compared with plate tower or random packing, Ceramic Structured
Packing has excellent performance below: Big flux. Applying structured packing, the tower diameter can be
narrowed for new designed tower and bigger handling capacity can be
reached for existing tower need to improve. High separation efficiency. There will be much larger surface area
than random packing. Low pressure drop. It can save more energy. Flexible operation, small Liquid holdup and small scale effect. Suitable for all tower diameters
| Based on difference of accumulation obliquity, there are two types structured packing, X type (30°) and Y type
(45°). Generally, X type structured packing has lower pressure drop
and Y type has better mass transfer efficiency. |
Application Applicable to separation processes, especially for corrosive
or thermal media. When the operating pressure is between 0.1 - 500
Kpa, the application performance is good. Applicable to rectification process of halogenated organic
compounds. Applicable to rectification or absorption process of corrosive
mixtures, which have strict requirements on pressure drop and
theoretical plate number. Applicable to towers containing large quantity acidic media, e.g.
processes of sulfuric acid absorption, nitric acid concentration
and air purification in fertilizer plants Applicable to operation under vacuum situation, at a bottom
absolute pressure of 100 pa.
